I've had a weekend off!
Lesley hasn't. She's been working on the S Glos Trials entries, barely looking up from her laptop. Occasional questions and observations come my way - like "How can a school enter SIX minor boys for high jump?" Well, she's nearly there with it. Which is just as well as it happens on Tuesday after school.
And it's going to be a busy week.
Retired teachers' trip to Arnos Vale Cemetery on Monday (no - not in a procession of hearses);
S Glos Trials on Tuesday;
Cheltenham Poetry Society Awayday on Wednesday;
Friday - OMG - taking friend to hospital in the morning, fetching the county championship medals from Trowbridge, seeing another friend whose birthday it is, starting the Hogweed Trotters track event in the evening, and maybe, if I'm still up to it, off out to the pub.
And then the county championships on Saturday. I hope you've all entered - or got your kids to enter. Last I heard, there were a lack of entries, but then that was with a few days to go still, so it'll be all right on the day. We may have electronic timing, if the part that was broken gets back from Italy in time.
It's a good life if you don't weaken.
